Singer Stevie Nicks is reportedly recording a new solo album as a tribute to her late mother.
Barbara Nicks died in Arizona at the age of 84, with her famous daughter by her side, on 28 December (11).
The Fleetwood Mac star later spoke out about the devastating loss, admitting, "She supported me and all of my dreams. She was the one that made it all possible."
And now the Landslide singer is set to remember her mum by composing a record in her honour, according to the National Enquirer.
A source says, "Stevie always finds something positive in the worst situations, and no one's surprised at her decision to write a tribute album to her mum.
"While sitting at Barbara's bedside, she recalled the tremendous influence her mother had on her life... Stevie has been writing constantly and wants to have the tribute album out by summer."

Out by the summer?  I don't see that happening for some reason.

Is the Enquirer still a reliable source or are they still known for making stuff up??

Would be amazing if it were true but somehow I doubt it is true....

Wow. Just open the vault and get a decent producer and voila. Although I am not sure that is what would happen...

All this while still busy promoting IYD? Anytime Stevie starts writing or thinking of putting out another album or music is always great news for fans. In truth I think staying busy helps get her through these difficult times she's faced in the last few years.

I have a feeling this rumour is true. She is doing things lately, such as promoting her album to the T out of love. She will do a tribute album out of love too.

Maybe she just doesn't want Lindsey to catch up to her with the number of solo albums... Laugh

Kidding... but a funny thought...

I really hope she does this.
This is a big step towards keeping her relevant, and although IYD lacked the promo we fans thought it deserved, it was still a pretty big success for Miss Nicks, and it got recognized by the mainstream, just not as much as it deserved.
And IMO I think lately, Stevie has been looking amazingly beautiful, and sounding f*cking fantastic.
She deserves more.
So with that being said, I am going to believe this rumor true.

Like! Or, I agree! Too bad there's no Like button...

And I hope if she does do this, she releases the song she gave to her mom called Angels. I'm dying to hear that.

I thought "Angels" was the demo version of "Touched By An Angel"

I vote also for a new Silver Springs... I think it would be fabulous!

For once the song would really be hers and Mick can't do anything about it... I think they already made amends when he let her have it for Crystal Visions... but a new updated one would definitely make it hers...

I thought Stevie gave her mom the rights to Silver Springs? I read somewhere that her mom insisted that Silver Springs be on Crystal Visions and had referred to it as a "rainy day" song.

She did, but in 91 Mick refused to let it be on Timespace even though the rights belonged to Barbara... I don't get it...
