I had the pleasure of meeting Barbara when she had SS Emporium. She was in a motorized wheelchair that had black and blue beads dangling in the back. She talked to me for an hour and told me some stories about Stevie when she was younger, how she used to drape curtains on everything and used to listen to music so loud that Stevie's dad took her record player out of her room for awhile. She was a funny lady with lightening wit and you could tell that Stevie was the light of her life. She also said that "Mirage" and "Rumours" were her favorite records. Everything in her store was prettyexpensive but I did buy a lamp for $700 that she said Stevie used to have (although it was very 70's looking and not all that pretty) and a few photos and a shirt. When she learned that I had traveled from Raleigh she gave me a signed SA poster that was cardboard. She had a book that you could sign and low and behold that Christmas I received a Christmas card from her.

In October I heard that she had fallen and broke her arm and shoulder and that Stevie had moved her to a nice condo in Scottsdale and had hired a full-time nurse to take care of her. I think Chris lived there as well, but I'm not sure. Regardless, she was a very accessible and warm lady who will be missed.

I remember being at the House of Blues show 9/18/1994 - I saw Barbara sitting on the stairs that ran up alongside the stage amongst tons of other fans.  She just sat there staring at her own daughter with this beaming smile like she never got tired of watching her daughter perform.  I knew that Stevie and her Mom were very close.  Much condolances to Christopher and the entire Nicks clan.

Chris Nicks Facebook Wall is public and these were two messages that I thought were worth sharing as one referred to Christine McVie.

Robbie Patton

I didn't know about Barbara Christopher, I am truly sorry for your
loss. She was always so very nice and kind to me whenever I saw her......
I am with Christine in England at the moment, would you like me to say anything or would you rather you or your sister let her know/ My thoughts are with you, If there's anything you need, you only have to type or dial.......

Hey buddy, I know how much love you have given your Mom and have been there for her since your Dad passed. You did so much for her Chris .... and she knows.... how much care and unconditional love you gave to her.  She lived a very colorful life with your Dad, you and Stevie and I know she is very proud to have you both as her children. She is with your Dad now and they have eternal life with each other. I am here for you as you have been for me always. I love you so much and feel your pain as my own. Stay strong Chris, as you always do....
XOXOXOXO ♥ ♥ ♥ Rest in Peace Barbara.....

I see Christopher A. Nicks on Facebook and his wall is public but I saw NOTHING about the death of Barbara... last thing posted was on Jessica's birthday in September...

Look in his photos and you will see a super duper cool and very young Sharon Celani in the group picture....

This would be so sad if true. No one's really said anything official as far as I know so I can't really comment I guess.

I haven't seen anything official either... it might be too new and a shock for many to post anything official which is understandable... I don't understand the talk about Chris' Facebook... there isn't anything on his wall that says anything about their mother...  unless he deleted the posts...

If it is true, it is very sad... if it isn't true then it's very cruel of whoever started the rumors...  I heard a couple of days ago that she was in the hospital but no one would say for what... not even saying if it was serious or not... so someone might have just said that she has passed when really she hasn't and is probably just sick in the hospital which is sad too... at any rate.. my thoughts and prayers are with Stevie and her family right now...

What Facebook page are you looking at?

Christoper A. Nicks has Facebook and the last post was in September and Lori Nicks and others commented on it...

Does he have multiple ones or something?

I believe the difference is simply the settings you've chosen.  You have to click on "Everyone" or something along those lines in order to see all the posts.
I can tell you I personally saw a condolence message from Glen Parrish there, yesterday.
