I don't think Stevie's Klonopin "problem" started until late 1988 and early 1989 and after that it just went further downward...

The Tango tour she seemed calmed down but that is only natural after coming off of cocaine and a tarnished image... people looked at her as a druggie and a drunk so she toned it WAY down on the Tango tour as far as her craziness on stage and her coherency... Almost like she had something to prove... she was still energetic and sang great but that crazy drugged out high and drunk Stevie was pretty much history....She wasn't obviously doped up at that time... my opinion.... By the time TOSOTM came out and the tour and BTM... she was pretty much zonked and "tired" and "spacey"... TOSOTM wasn't as bad as BTM though.. it's like she progressively went downward...

I agree. I saw her on the Mirror Tour and BTM tour and she was heavily sedated.

I love her even more for her strength... she got through it and came back better as ever...

What effects are you referring too?

Seven Wonders came out in 1987, Stevie went to Betty Ford in 1986, she didn't start Klonopin until after that so not sure how she could be deep into it during this video or the making of this song.

Well, Stevie & Lindsey have both referred to her being MIA during the recording sessions for TITN late '86-'87 due to her Klonopin use and talked about how hard it was for Lindsey to work without her/around her.    Shrug

Cocaine I thought... I thought that she was in Betty Ford while they started the sessions for Tango and also her preexisting tour dates in Australia with Bob Dylan and Tom Petty kept her from being there as well...

Oh, well -- it wouldn't surprise me.  Stevie gets her timeline mixed up constantly.

I guess FM got tired of waiting for her all the time to do a project so they just went ahead without her... I could definitely see Lindsey making that decision at the time lol...  Imagine how TITN would have been if Stevie had actually provided vocals for Isn't It Midnight, Everywhere, Big Love (Other than the 12") and like Family Man and others... I really miss her on TITN.. In Little Lies it sounds like she was pasted into the album version and her great vocals left out for the 12"... I still think her extra vocals should have been on the end of the album version...  same with Big Love...

"WELL IT'S A BIG BIG LOVE.... YEAH!"
"HOUSE UP ON THE HILL...!!!"

You're right. She was on the Rock A Little Tour when they started recording Tango and was MIA because then she checked into Betty Ford at the end of the tour and then got out and went in and tried to add she parts to what they had already recorded.

I still wish that she would have added her vocals to at least Isn't It Midnight...

I think it was another example of how Lindsey didn't really dig her work ethic so he was not going to bust his ass to make a place for her on the record after the fact. I think that was pretty much the peak of their love-hate relationship. But it was such a great time to be a fan. I was so into every little detail then and how we got the news and gossip back then were through fanzines that would come in the mail every month. "Silver Springs" and "Rumours" were the two best ones.  I was always counting down the days to come home and open my mailbox to see if I got a new one or more pictures for S&M photo that would advertise in the back of Rolling Stone Magazine. They would send you xerox copies of concert picture that were the size of your thumb and you could order the real photos through the mail. This combined with MTV News and Videos was our internet back in the day.

Oh and of course the monthly call to modern records to see when the release date for a new Stevie Nicks record was. lol.

I think both the video and song Little Lies is just beautiful, and I wouldn't have changed a thing. I love Stevie's vocals on that the way they come in.

Yes those added vocals were cool too. I think we have always been excited really for anything "new" or added from Stevie.  nod

I wonder if she recorded the vocals for Big Love and Little Lies all at once during the making of the album since she didn't "have much time" and Lindsey just left her vocals completely out of Big Love on purpose and only added her "Tell me lies... you can't disguise" on Little Lies... I want to hear those vocal takes so bad in completion...

All I know is, Little Lies remains one of my most favorite songs of all time by anyone and a song (and video) where I wouldn't have changed a thing today.
