Oh, to have Sable On Blond, Gate and Garden and Nothing Ever Changes totally remastered and sounding crystal clear.  The Wild Heart and Mirage are the lowest, most horrible sounding CDs in my collection.  And they sounded FANTASTIC on vinyl.

They could all use a pump up - and totally new versions of many poorly-produced tracks.

All of the tracks were top notch production.

I don't see a dire need for remastering ...the signal processing is top notch for it's time as well. After hearing some of the tracks already remastered on Timespace, I instantly noticed the clarity and definition that is more pronounced than the original masters.

If all the tracks get remastered, I will surely be collecting them in hopes of some bonus tracks being thrown in.

Audio gain is not an issue in a digital domain if the files are not re-encoded. The gain of the source analog 1/4" 2 track master tape (that the digital master is taken from) is limited by the beautiful sounding self compressing feature of analog recording tape. It can't be over-driven  beyond saturation point unlike square waveform clipping of an over-driven digital record. Analog tape will always sound better for basic tracks and 2-mix master. What has improved much since the 70's and 80's is the signal processing that was not available at the time of the original releases.

Well, Bella Donna has been pretty much completely remastered, aside from 2 tracks

Bella Donna (Enchanted Boxset)
Kind Of Woman (Enchanted Boxset)
Stop Draggin' My Heart Around (Enchanted and Crystal Visions)
Think About It (not remastered)
After The Glitter Fades (Enchanted)
Edge Of Seventeen (Crystal Visions)
How Still My Love (surprisingly, not remastered)
Leather And Lace (Enchanted and Crystal Visions)
Outside The Rain (Enchanted)
The Highwayman (Enchanted)

Stevie would really only have to work on the HSML and TAI masters to get them up to scratch, with minimal work on the other tracks. Infact, I have burned myself a copy of both "Bella Donna" and "The Wild Heart" using the Enchanted and Crystal Visions remasters.

Personally, I think the first 4 albums are all desperately in need of remastering. I really think Stevie's next release (lets face it, she is going to do another compilation following IYD) should be a boxset of all the albums remastered and with b-sides. She could release all the albums individually and as a boxset with extra's (IYD documentary, all the videos, interviews, live footage etc).

and as all this comes to an end...
