Has anyone else heard about this? I thought I read some where that someone said that there is a Street Angel version floating around that is awesome. Anyone?

"I Call You Missing" was recorded for Street Angel. Here's a press release, shared by KC some years ago, which includes it in the tracklist.

wow interesting find, esp the bit about "Unconditional Love" being the first single. I love this album, and the fact that the reviewer seemed to love it, as well.

seems like this was a pre-release before the US version was finally minted and released. Would love to hear "I call you Missing'

I Call You Missing was probably renamed to Love Is Like A River... considering they share most of the same lyrics....

Notice that Love Is Like A River isn't listed in the tracklisting...

I would LOVE to see the video for Unconditional Love if there is one... according to that cool article one exists somewhere...

To me it says they planned to make a video to the single (Unconditional Love) but never actually got the chance to make one since obviously things changed.  I always thought it was a mistake to not make one for Maybe Love Will Change Your Mind.

I really wish things wouldn't have changed... the album really needed a 3rd single... maybe not Unconditional Love but like Listen To The Rain or Love Is Like A River...

I couldn't agree with you more. I've said in the past that I think her management or whomever makes those decisions began screwing up with OSOTM.  But it's most obvious with Street Angel in the sense that they chose an AC style single.  Somehow they lost sight of the fact they selected to market her as a straight-forward rocker and in the grunge days of Nirvana dominating the airwaves, Listen To The Rain would have been a far superior cut to kick of the album. Maybe Love should have been the second single.

nod

All except the lyric "I call you/She calls you missing" and a couple of other lines I believe... I haven't listened to the demo in a long time but I know that it was Whole Totta Trouble and Love Is Like A River combined... but there was also that RAL demo of Love Is Like A River all in its own... but I think she took the best out of both demos and created the final Love Is Like A River which is one of my favorite tracks on Street Angel...

I think they should rename this board "I Call You Missing" instead of "Seven Wonders" . . . .

.
I pop in 2 or 3 times a day and its as quiet as a clockwork mouse in Mrs Slocumbs pocketbook....

The 52 million Stevie Facebook groups are killing the forums

Yeah, there a ton of them, and some people run numerous FB boards, something I dont understand because when you look its nearly the same thing on all the pages... overkill.  There is a really good one that shares music tho...

I wish this place would come back to life because I really enjoyed it here... and ive posted and sometimes it gets a reply, sometimes nothing at all.   Shrug

I agree. And I can't keep up with all the different FB groups.  This is much better
