Of course it's not an official version if somebody has edited, point is that editing and distribution is prohibited by law and subject to penalties. I was merely stating that I would not go there.
I agree with your last sentence but download links can be found without going to this site. I think you can do a blog search and it will lead to any and all links. There's nothing you, I or anyone can do to stop it so why would I get upset?
Here's a hypothetical situation:

my edit of Stairway to Heaven and post the link over at Royal Orleans just to see how they like it and to see how it goes over with the Led Zepp trading community. I would not even dream of it because I'd be shit on from way up high so bad that it would most likely end up with me getting my account suspended.
