Why are you getting mad? As he said it's not an official version. In any case I'm sure that anyone who stumbles upon this "fan webpage" has legally purchased the album.
I'm not the one getting mad but I was getting accused of bullying. LOL must be my user name! I'm not upset nor worried in the least. I was just making a statement.
Of course it's not an official version if somebody has edited, point is that editing and distribution is prohibited by law and subject to penalties. I was merely stating that I would not go there.
I agree with your last sentence but download links can be found without going to this site. I think you can do a blog search and it will lead to any and all links. There's nothing you, I or anyone can do to stop it so why would I get upset?
Here's a hypothetical situation:
I am going to upload
my edit of Stairway to Heaven and post the link over at Royal Orleans just to see how they like it and to see how it goes over with the Led Zepp trading community. I would not even dream of it because I'd be shit on from way up high so bad that it would most likely end up with me getting my account suspended.
Here's another one:
I have the pleasure of meeting Stevie herself in person!
... " Hi Stevie, how would you like to hear
my edit of
your song? Want the link? "
...I don't think so!!! Who knows what would happen.
Or how about:
Why not send a link to Warner Bros. Records and see how it goes over?
...Not!!!
All I'm sayin' here is I would not do it - I'm not that brave. Nor would I do it even if I was that brave!
Artists don't like anyone to change something that they have created ...especially without authorization to do so [Stevie doesn't even like Lindsey to change any of
her songs in the studio when they are recording and he sort of did have authority.] and then distributing it.
Record companies can prosecute and their layers like to make easy $$$!
Nope,
I'm not worried.
I don't have to be worried... and I'm not mad either. Go ahead, edit and post to your hearts content.
In the meantime, I must get back to looking for a replacement for the rare copy of TITN that I once had.
...Track a ghost through the fog!
Baby.
