Only 24 hrs. left until the world doesn't end - thoughts?

I just keep thinking about how all these crazypeople told their kids
that the world's ending tomorow; and a lot of them probably believe
it - What kind of experience are they having right now?  And - what
are they going to think of their parents when the world totally and
abysmally fails to end tomorrow? 
I have the impression that a lot of them gave away all their "worldly
possessions" and are now pretty much penniless.

So yeah - What are everyone's thoughts on the whole "5/21" thing?

I can still remember everyone panicking that the world would end with 2000. My whacko cousin even moved his wedding date to December 1999 so he could be married before the end of the world. Still trying to figure out how he can explain his 4 kids (all under 10) since the world ended in 2000.

It's a money making/fund raising scheme, plain and simple.  The same guy from the same church said the world would end in 1994.  Employees of the same church told CNN that have every intention of showing up for work Monday.  The church even filed for an IRS extension to November - oh wait - the world won't be here in November. :rolleyes:  Meanwhile, the crazies are all throwing money at this church like it matters.

I think it's very important to remember that these Prophetic Interpretations
of Scripture are highly complex.  He may simply have forgotten to "carry the
two" in his math.
