Not to take away from the great job many people did in finding him,
the huge effort that it took, or from the Navy Seals who got him. But -
In my opinion, it's time to start asking some tough questions, and I think
that would be a good thing for them to do. What's the actual
truthhere? i.m.o. the
truth is that speaking of "massive efforts," they
supposedly had people pouring ALL over the satellite photos of northwestern
Pakistan for years. It was an extremely unusual, fortified structure in the
middle of nowhere, not that far from either Afghanistan or Islamabad.
SOMEBODY should have picked this out LONG ago; and i.m.o. the truth is
that somebody dropped the ball and something went wrong organizationally.
And they have computer software that should have been looking for unusual
features such as this - it's all digital and they certainly have the capability.
This is the United States, we should have had this bozo years ago.
But - One thing that I think is VERY positive - This could have been done with a 2,000-pound bomb or Tomahawk missile. Instead, they chose to take the risk so that they could spare "innocent" civilians (his wife that attacked one of the Seals, for instance...) and Obama put himself at tremendous political risk. How many other countries would have taken that chance?
