has anyone else been following this trainwreck? if his bipolar kind of ranting wasn't so sad it would be funny. a hell of a lot funnier than his godawful sitcom. let them shut it down. sorry to his crew and castmates, though.

Total 100% denial, i.m.o.

I saw a photo of him on what had been the
Larry King Show - I forget the new guy's name
at the moment - He had said that he's totally fine -
I thought he looked thin and a bit of a mess.
Unfortunately, I think he's at a certain stage where
he considers it to be heavy partying - the addiction
i.m.o. is sort of elusive at that point - the whole "I
can quit any time I want!!!" thing.  Meanwhile something
like a hundred people or more have been put out of work
because of this problem, and millions of dollars have been
lost - and he doesn't even perceive that as a serious problem.

By the way though, I think most people missed a reference he
made to "Wall Street," which I thought was actually pretty clever
and true - he said something about "walking up the steps to justice."
In that movie, that's exactly what his character does at the end.
Martin Sheen, playing his Dad in the movie, drove him there.
Charlie Sheen said to him in the car, "I'm going to JAIL, Dad!"
Martin S.'s answer was something like, "Maybe that's the best
thing FOR you right now."  I'm suprised it hasn't been satirized on
SNL or something like that.

As for Martin Sheen -
"And how they come over him with
 his WILDER days, not measuring
what USE he made of them!"    winky

addiction runs deep in families i know. his dad had a heart attack as a young man shooting APOCALYPSE NOW and has had his own demons. piers morgan who succeeded larry king is the guy who had charlie on monday nite. he was very supportive only to turn around last nite and have people on to analyze his problems and sort of disparage him. two faced brit i mean twit.

I love some of his riffs but it really is sad.  I don't know if it's drugs talking or he's got a mental problem.  Yea, he's on a drug.  It's called "CHARLIE SHEEN".  And Tiger blood in his veins and anyone he thinks is cool is a "rock star".  I don't know where it's all coming from, but I wish his family would have him committed and get him some medical help.

Martin Sheen and Charlie Sheen reportedly have had problems
all the way back to the 80s and even before, so Martin Sheen's
ability to do anything about it might be "somewhat limited" at
this point.  When "Wall Street" came out, there were "insiders"
who were saying that if the scenes with them fighting and "having
it out" between them looked real, it was because they were.

i've suffered from lack of sleep and rushing thoughts. talking a mile a minute. some of it makes sense some of it is out there and people either follow or not. whether if it's after much drug use and he's coming down hard or as he says, he's always suffered from lack of sleep...i see the dangers of manic behavior happening. and his laughing it off ''the earth is bipolar'' is very textbook.

Personally, I'd be fine if they retooled the show to have Alan and Berta move to the Mom's house. I love the 3 of them and don't really care about Sheen's character on the show.

I'll smoke a cock, fuck it.

Believe it or not I've never been totally convinced
that Rob Lowe's a "bad boy."  Not completely, anyway.
