Academy Awards tonight!

So who's going to win?  Smile

I'm predicting that "Inception" is going
to be a bit of a Dark Horse Candidate.

The only 'winner' I care about tonight is James Franco.  nod

james had a dark eyed stoned too laid back way that didn't go with anne hathaway's bubbly personality. didn't care for them as hosts, though i love them. i'm glad i could fast forward in many parts thru speeches i didn't care about. i pretty much knew who would win from the award shows that preceeded. no real stand out speeches for the great winners although i did like how they presented the best actor and actress awards. especially actress with jeff bridges giving all the awesome nominees their just due. sandy bullock was just a bit too tongue in cheek with the guys but that was ok. but it was a great year at the movies!

I love James Franco, but I don't know what was going on with him.  He seemed totally out of it.

he says he was straight and that the bright lights make him squint. i've thought about it and i think he takes himself seriously when he's performing and thought he would act droll and look off to the side while maybe reading his lines. that along with the darkness under his eyes made him distanced and aloof and yea, out of it. also, he attends university all week. the taped intro they did he had to fly back and forth on weekends for over a month to do. and he flew right back to NY after the telecast for class the next day. in any case. the academy's attempts to attain a younger audience didn't work.

I think it was more ABC than the Academy.  They should have stayed with Billy Crystal or Whoopi

I did not watch this year. Sorry, but I thought that Sandra Bullock award was crap and won't watch them again.
