Thought I'd revisit this thread.  Has anyone written anything new?  I started a little ditty a few weeks back and just finished it yesterday.  It's not my finest work, but I still think it's pretty good!

~Lilies of the Valley~
So come the lilies of the valley
each bell chimes it's song
(seasons change)
unearthed from the frozen ground
(deliverance)
it's new life is found

escaped from the choke-hold of death
blanketed by the stillness of snow
within the sunlight it's petals stretch
now it's time to grow

each downy drop of morning dew
upon it's leaves do shine
but now it's sweet sweet embrace
has been thwarted by the vine

slowly creeping
always seeking
for more ground to cover
unlike the beauty of a Vienna waltz
this is not the dance of a lover

the strong strong soul
sows loves seed
all the long long while
love's heart begins to bleed

I close my eyes softly
and bleed my heart dry
onto parchment and altered quill
onto empty lines my blood fill

where to go from here?
down the road less taken?
what to feel from here?
when my heart's been forsaken?

how do I sing in harmony with the sea
when loves sweet song is played out of key

TEMPEST FURY

And the storm raged
He stood transfixed
Looking out over the water
Waves crashing
Electric sky in its tempest
Filling the senses
Swirling emotions
Raw and untamed
Was the beast
In all its fury
He was no match
For what was to come
It would be a test
Of his very soul
So he reached out
And grasped the winds
Called out into the darkness
And held on to the night
As it all unwound around him
The wind lifted on high
The spirits of the brave
And he consumed the power
Rose up against the night
And with all that was in him
He turned the storm away.

EXCITING NEWS MY SEVENWONDERS POETS!!
I haven't been able to be on here so the epic story that is my life has been put on hold for a lot around here, but I'm excited to share with you guys!

At the end of summer, I will be moving to Vancouver in hopes to start my career in songwriting.  I've managed to stumble my way into a few connections, and I'm all set!  I'm so excited about this, because it's something I've always wanted to do; and now it's becoming a reality

I'll keep you guys updated, but I don't like talking about it too much in case I become jinxed.  And yes, I have already copyrighted anything that I've posted in here   (So don't even try... jk )

Thanks, I'm really excited about this!  I'm kind of nervous about finding a job and being in a place where I don't know very many people.  But I have some family and high school friends that live in the area as well so it won't be too bad.  September cant come soon enough!!

You should try putting those fragments together and see what comes out of it.. That's what happened with Jewel's "Foolish Games" and look how well that turned out.

I do that ... I have a doc on my computer called "random notes" and I put all my fragments in it. Every so often I go in and shuffle things around to see what comes of it.

With an orange glow
The laughter of children
Costumed going door to door
Witches and Goblins
Wizards slaying dragons
There is magick in the air
Old magick...in stone circles
Long ago we danced in circles
Holding hands
Remembering those
Who danced before us
Conjuring up the past
Where it all began
Listen closely and you may hear
Their voices in song
Dancing under the moon
On All Hallows ...
